Why did you join this site?
I wanted to find a website where I could openly display my artwork. Elfwood is too demanding and apparently I wasn't good enough to show on Epilogue.
What does your username have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favorite things, or a character of yours?
Neither. I wanted something mysterious and as far from my identity as possible. I got the name Shijyo from the main character on a short anime film called Twilight of the Dark Master, his name was Tsunami Shijyo. He's the very embodiment of what I want my art to be, dark, mysterious and alluring.
What is your current icon of?
A character off the Magna Carta game franchise, his name is Calintz.

If you asked me a few years ago, I'd say several, but now it's usually less than 15 minutes.

How come you don't draw black people? ...Don't ask me why, but that just really bothers me.

Glass is such a pretty girl......People, are you fucking blind? What woman walks around with no shirt on with rippling pectoral muscles? Gawddamn it y'all, look at the rest of the picture before saying something so stupid.
What inspires you?
Music, fashion, death, and murder.
Do you use any traditional media?
Yeah, but as far as faces go? It's not nearly as strong as my digital coloring. But yes, I use every conventional medium under the sun.

No not really, I know I'll never meet any of these people.

Everyone has considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?
Yeah, there was a period where everyone on here was acting bitchy. But instead of leaving, I just didn't post anything for awhile, and eventually, I just stopped giving a shit what people thought.

Haha yeah, it's really amazing at how fast or how far you'll come from certain points. I was looking at some old sketchbooks, and couldn't believe at one point I thought I was actually good! It's good to know you do that too, it's a nice reminder. And speaking of that, have you posted any new art yet, turkey?
Not as busy as you by the sounds of things...I'm tired, I had a crap nights sleep, my back is useless...It plays up because I have some arthritis damage from when I was younger,and for some reason my stomach seems to hate lying down...bloody thing wont stop grumbling when on my back, damn there is too many things to worry about as always...
Yeah, it is indeed, I still amaze myself at how far I have come too, seeing what art I did while I was a kid is funny to look at!

But as far as my back goes I’m unsure of any way to help it, I get woken up early in the morning sometimes around 5.00, and it’s not always because of a bad back, maybe sleep insomnia. need some work to loosen my back up, seems to loosen up with a bit of physical labor.
Oh I have been on holiday, that’s the great thing about being a freelancer, you choose your holidays! ^^
I bought Devil May Cry 1 online, just arrived this morning, it’s one of the first ps2 games that came out, and it’s still the best in the series, fun to play even with our new standards in games, you should play some of dmc, so, any games you have been playing on your ps3?
